NASA confirms giant meteor hurtling towards us will be 'near Earth event'

NASA has confirmed a giant asteroid is hurtling towards Earth.
The mass is bombing through space and should skim past the world’s surface at 40,000mph in a matter of hours.

Experts have suggested it should pass the moon’s orbit of the earth tomorrow and while they are unsure of the meteor’s exact size, it could be anything up to 1.6miles wide.

Conspiracy theorists were left confused when the world wasn’t ended by a destructive meteor last week, as predicted by the Blood Moon Prophecy.

And while this fireball should avoid collision with the globe, NASA has classified the object as a Near-Earth asteroid.

NASA first spotted the hurtling mass 16 years ago and its orbit crosses the Earth’s orbit in a similar pattern to 1862 Apollo.

1862 Apollo was classified as a potentially hazardous object as it made a close approach to Earth and was big enough to have caused significant damage in the event of impact.

Luckily, the ball headed towards Earth this weekend is not thought to come close enough to cause any damage.
