No one deserves thanks more than our mothers- Barack Obama says in his US Mothers Day message

The United States is celebrating Mothers Day today May 8th. President Obama took to his Facebook wall to celebrate his mum (pictured with him above), his wife, Michelle and her mum. According to him, no one deserves thanks more thanks more than our mothers. He shared photos and wrote;

"To all the moms out there, Happy Mother's Day! I will always be grateful to my mom for instilling in me a sense that I could do anything if I worked for it - even become the President of the United States. Doing right by our kids is the most important work there is. That's why I want to take a little extra time to say thank you to Michelle and to her mother for the extraordinary and selfless way they have raised, looked after, and loved our girls.

I'm lucky to have lived my life surrounded by such remarkable women. To whomever that person is in your life, be sure to say thanks. Say I love you. And let's make sure we show that gratitude and appreciation throughout the year. Because no one deserves thanks more than our moms."
