SEVERAL passengers were injured when a bus with 53 people on board overturned into a ditch this morning.
Cops are investigating whether the coach swerved to avoid another car in the crash shortly after 7am.
A woman was taken to hospital with serious injures while several other passengers were treated for minor wounds.
The smash happened on the A141 in March, Cambridgeshire, on a dark and wet country road.
Cops are investigating the cause of the smash after reports the bus may have swerved to avoid another car.
A spokeswoman for Cambridgeshire Police said: “There was one person with serious injuries, a woman who was taken to hospital, and several others who have minor injuries.”
“For some reason the bus left the road.”
Asked whether the bus swerved to avoid another car, the spokeswoman told The Sun: “It’s part of our investigation.”
She added: “no other vehicle was involved in the collision.”
Police, firefighters and ambulances attended the scene.
A spokeswoman for Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue said: “A coach had left the roadway and landed in a ditch.
“No one was trapped and firefighters were not required to rescue anyone.”
