A TWISTED triple child killer who flipped after one of his victims cried for her bottle is reportedly being prepared for release via a ‘back route’.

Evil David McGreavy, now 65, impaled his tiny victims on next door’s spiked garden railings.

The twisted killer murdered Paul Ralph, four, alongside his sisters Dawn, two, and nine-month-old Samantha in 1973 while babysitting for their parents.

Now sources claim he is being prepared for release from HMP Warren Hill, in Suffolk, via a programme which bypasses the open prison stage.

Ex-sailor McGreavy, then 21, was lodging with his victims’ parents, Clive and Dorothy, when they left him to babysit.

McGreavy was dubbed "The Monster of Worcester" after they returned to find their home spattered with blood and police made the gruesome discovery of the children's bodies on next door's railings.

He was jailed for life, with a minimum term of 20 years, and has applied for parole at least nine times.

He was transferred to an open prison in 2006 and allowed to stay in a bail hostel in Liverpool on temporary license - but was transferred back when the public found out.

He had been allowed out on day release after spending two years in an open prison.

When pictures emerged of him on day release sadistic murdered had used human rights laws to claim the public should be kept in the dark about his bid to move to an open jail.

The secrecy order was quashed by the High Court.

But it is now claimed the notorious murderer is set for release after he was enrolled on a special scheme for prisoners due to be released - but who can't go to an open prison.

The source said: “They tried to release him into a bail hostel in an open prison and that didn't work because people found out about him.

"So now they are trying to release him in this way. I think it is basically a back route and totally underhand.

"For what he did, he shouldn't be released ever, but if he is, I think the public have a right to know where he is.

"It's a category C prison, and basically it means that people can bypass category D - where they are released to a hostel from an open prison."

McGreavy battered little Samantha to death when she cried for her bottle. He went on to strangle Paul and cut the throat of Dawn.

The children’s parents Dorothy - then called Elise - and her husband Clive were at work as the horror unfolded.

He was handed a minimum 20 year term and since it expired has been trying to secure his freedom but has yet to be released by the Parole Board.

He is now in HMP Warren Hill, which has run a programme called the 'Progression Regime' for Category C prisoners, who cannot move to open conditions since 2014.

According to Ministry of Justice guidelines it is designed to "encourage prisoners to take more personal responsibility to produce the evidence which they need to secure release from custody on completion of tariff".

According to a source McGreavy – who is understood to be living on a wing for OAPs – “lives as he pleases”.

The source said: "He keeps himself to himself but he can basically live as he pleases.

"He has him own cooking facilities, and can go to the library and get out any book he wants.

"But nobody speaks to him."

A Ministry of Justice spokesperson said: "We do not comment on individuals.

"The release of prisoners serving a life sentence is entirely a matter for the independent Parole Board.

"They must be satisfied that an offender can be managed safely in the community before they direct release."
