Twisted mum and lesbian partner who murdered two-year-old boy 'have met up in jail for a coffee'

AN EVIL couple convicted for brutally tortured and killed a helpless infant have met up for dates behind bars.

Two-year-old Liam Fee’s murderous mother Rachel Trelfa and her sick partner Nyomi Fee met up for coffee in prison.

The twisted child killers were last week convicted of the shocking murder, but are together at HMP Cornton Vale, Stirling, waiting to be sentenced.

Their cells are on different floors inside the Ross House building at the women's prison where remand inmates are kept.

But the loved-up pair, who held hands on their way in and out of their trial, have been able to meet over a coffee behind bars.

A prison source said: "They will have met. They are on different floors but there will be times during the day when the cells are open and they will be able to associate.

"They are not sharing a cell. Prisoners can go out of their cells to eat in the hall.

"It will have been risk-assessed.

"Once they are sentenced it will be unlikely that they can associate with each other."

Trelfa, 31 and her lover Fee, 29, murdered little Liam at their flat in Thornton, near Glenrothes, Fife, in March 2014.

They were convicted at the High Court in Livingston by a jury who heard how doctors found Liam had suffered a ruptured heart from a blow or blows to his body.

Medics also discovered double fractures of his thigh bone and arm.

In total they counted more than 30 injuries on his body.

The couple were also found guilty of a catalogue of abuse against two other children.

They will return to court for sentencing on July 6.

A Scottish Prison Service spokeswoman added: "We do not comment on individual prisoners."
