DONALD Trump has claimed Barack Obama founded ISIS.
The Republican candidate for the White House continued his war of words with the sitting president by suggesting he invented the terror group last night.
Outspoken businessman Trump even suggested Islamic terrorists “honour” Obama.
Using his full name of Barack Hussein Obama in a bid to highlight the president’s Kenyan heritage, Trump said: “In many respects, you know, they honour President Obama.
"He is the founder of ISIS."
The 70-year-old then turned both barrels on rival Democrat candidate Hillary Clinton, labelling her the Islamic fundamentalist group's "co-founder".
He continued: "And I would say. The co-founder would be crooked Hillary Clinton. Co-founder! Crooked Hillary Clinton! And that's what it's about!"
Trump was speaking at a rally in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, that was marred by clashes between his supporters.
nomination as the Republican candidate has split the party with once-rival Ted Cruz refusing to endorse Trump last month.
The controversial former Apprentice host added: "People don’t like saying [Radical Islamic terrorism]. Our president refuses to use the term.
"Every time another event happens, I keep saying, 'I wonder if he’s gonna say it this time'. And he doesn’t say it.
"And Hillary won’t say it either. She doesn’t wanna say it, cause she doesn’t wanna offend the president, because then bad things could happen to her if she offends the president.
"Bad things could happen to her.
"So she’s afraid to say it. Hillary’s afraid to say it. She did say that she would say it because of me, but she’s afraid to say it.
"But, we have a real problem with radical Islamic terror. It's’ what it is. It’s terror."
Trump is believed to have been suggesting President Obama's foreign policy allowed the terror group to prosper.
The outburst is the latest volley in a war of words between the two men.
Obama last month declared Trump "unfit" for the presidency after a spat with the parents of a decorated Muslim soldier killed fighting for the US army in Iraq.
While Trump has questioned Obama's heritage before, demanding that he produce his birth certificate back in 2012.
The Hawaiian-born president - who is Christian - responded by having his birth certificate published.
Americans head to the ballot box on November 8, with former First Lady Clinton bidding to become the United States' first female commander-in-chief.
