(And they’ll get the house over my girl)

Dog

SHOUT “Walkies!” at Lynn Everett’s house and face a stampede . . . by all 41 of her beloved dogs.

She is mad about the pooches, who just about squeeze into her three-bedroomed semi along with hubby Anthony.

The 59-year-old is so devoted to the pack that she’s leaving her home to them in her will — over daughter Julie, 36.

Lynn says: “The dogs will stay here and get the house — any money that’s left over will go to Julie.”

The pack adds up to 25 French bulldogs, ten bull terriers, three Chinese crested and three chihuahuas. They woof down a lot of food every day . . . and plenty to clear up from the other end.

Lynn and Anthony, 68, from Barnsley, married 20 years ago but have not been on holiday since their honeymoon.

Instead, the couple pick up 120 poops a day, spend £250 a week on dog food and have five freezers to store the tripe, lamb, chicken and beef the pooches eat every morning.

Retired electrician Anthony says: “It could be a madhouse with two unruly kids.

“All of the dogs are cared-for and loved. If it were my choice, I wouldn’t have so many dogs — but who knows, I’d probably get bored.”

Lynn adds: “I work hard to keep this house clean. People think it stinks, but it doesn’t — it’s clean.

“I’m at it all day but it never feels like a chore. The last time I went away was on my honeymoon and I’m fine with that.”

The pup-pack includes Tina, Shakira, Noo Noos, Jasmine, Sophia Loren, Teacup, Taco, Mini-me, Chip,
Mouse and Ping — a Chinese crested that has just had a litter of pups. And then there’s Alan Titchmarsh, a 14-week-old tiny chihuahua that likes to pirouette across the floor.

Lynn started breeding dogs at 22 and sells them for anything from £750 to £7,500. The costs go towards the pets’ mammoth vet bills, which last year alone came to £17,000.

Lynn, who has to take them out for walkies in smaller groups, won’t go into details about how much she earns but she does admit to spending £17,500 on a dog called Chanel.

She says: “No one else would do this job. I got up at noon yesterday and didn’t go to bed until 7am the following morning. If you pay by the hour, I’d get about 7p.”

But not everyone is happy with their lifestyle choice.

Lynn gets online abuse and even had a brick thrown through her window one Christmas.

Lynn says: “People think it’s wrong to have this many dogs — but this is how they’d be in the wild, in a pack.”

Despite wanting more pups, Lynn insists this is not an addiction.

She says: “If we couldn’t afford them or they weren’t being cared for, I would let them go.
“I just love having them — and they’re a lot more entertaining than my husband nowadays.”
