Prominent Yoruba leader Ajayi dies at 91

NAIJATRUESTORY.BLOGSPOT.com has learnt that a chieftain of Afenifere , a major pan-Yoruba socio-political group, Sir Olaniwun Ajayi, is dead.
The Nigerian Tribune reports that Ajayi died at 91 just 48 hours after granting an interview where he predicted how President Muhammadu Buhari’s successor would emerge.

The late Ajayi
He died at the early hours of Friday, November 4, 2016 at an undisclosed hospital.
In the interview yet to be released by the Nigerian Tribune, the late Ajayi further talked about a pact between the northern part of the country and some people based in the United States and Britain.

The late Ajayi reportedly complained about pains on Thursday afternoon and was taken to Lagos by his eldest son, Dr Konyin Ajayi.
He was said to have died hours later.
Sir Olaniwun Ajayi was born in Isara Remo, Ogun state on April 8, 1925, to the family of Mr Benjamin Awoyemi Ajayi, a farmer and Marian Efundolamu Ajayi.

The report said he had his early education at the Islamic Primary School, Epe, Lagos, but later enrolled into a primary school in 1937which he completed in Ode-Remo, Ogun state after-which authorities of the school engaged him to teach there due to his intelligence and excellent result.
